Happy Halloween from Us to You

Ideas for making the best out of it during COVID times

By Carolina Taratuty Editor & Publisher MK Miami NE and MB October 30, 2020

Halloween is the favorite holiday for a lot of kids out there. This year we are celebrating a different kind of Halloween, but we are certainly making the best out of it.

So, while we all want to keep our friends and families safe, we also think of creative ways for our kids not to miss the Halloween celebration under the current circumstances. From our end, we started our events early in the week and I wanted to share some ideas with you:

Outdoor decoration:

We usually do a small outdoor decoration but this year we went a little bit further. The kids especially love our inflatable. They all enjoyed helping with the set. Luckily the decoration survived last week's rainy days.

Arts & Crafts:

My kids love painting with water paint so I found these at the Dollar Tree and each one did their own coloring. Then we were able to use them as part of our Halloween table decorations.

Pumpkin Decoration:

Having 4-year-old triplets 24/7 at home is so much fun, but of course a big challenge, so this year I decided to keep it simple, and instead of a craving our pumpkin I found a decoration set at Aldi which turned out wonderful, easy, and mess-free.

A small street party among our very close friends:

We set a table with decorations, cookies, and individual goody bags for a small outdoor gathering. Kids enjoyed the outdoors so much, playing while in their favorite costumes and of course eating candies from their own individual bags.

Halloween lunch:

We found this great pumpkin-shaped pizza at Aldi which brought Halloween spirit to our lunch table together with some plates and glasses. Then we jumped into some more arts and crafts again from the Dollar Tree.

For tomorrow's big day, we found many options from which to chose from, from drive-in theater or outdoor movie night to drive-in treat or trick, or free gelato event and virtual events. Head to our Events Calendar to check out all these wonderful safe options for your family.

Have a Happy Halloween and Stay Safe!
