Last week, we started our family weekend with a visit to Candytopia on Friday early afternoon. The plan was a surprise for our four kids. Until we didn't get to the parking lot of Aventura Mall we hadn't tell them what we were up to. When they heard the word “candy”coming out of my month, their eyes opened widely and big smiles followed. Everyone had their masks on and ready to go!

As soon as we got there, a very nice lady walked us through some rules and invited us to use hand sanitizer, which is available throughout the exhibit. Then the doors opened and a huge dinosaur made out of 125,000 candies including a lot of jelly beans, welcomed us. The exhibit is loaded with impressive art pieces made out of thousands of candies which took the artists hundreds of hours to accomplish. From unicorns, elephants, monkeys, to Price’s guitar, Beyonce’s portrait, an astronaut suit, and a jungle set up. The kids were so excited, and moreover, they got to sample different kinds of candies throughout the experience.
Candytopia is definitely an outrageously interactive candy wonderland, and this is exactly where we felt we were. In their own words, it is a sprawling sanctuary of confectionary bliss, with over a dozen carefully curated and crafted rooms and environments. It was definitely an experience that we enjoyed fully and will never forget.
The event is opened from Friday to Sunday from 12 pm to 7 pm. Note a selected number of people can attend the event at the same time, so tickets must be purchase in advance. To book your date and time and learn more visit www.Candytopia.com.
