At Miami Shores Montessori School’s Summer Camp, they adhere to the Montessori’s philosophy by providing children with the opportunity to explore, create and enjoy the summer with a variety of creative activities in a carefully prepared environment. Their whole-child approach focuses on helping each student reach his or her full potential in all areas of life and at the same time allowing children to experience the joy of learning. They provide a multi-aged program, that allows children to develop a feeling of community, leadership, acceptance, and security.
Toddler Campers (18months - 3 years old) will explore and experience Montessori lessons while striving to improve motor, language and socialization skills along with our weekly topics.

Primary Campers (3-6 years old) will explore and experience the Montessori classroom setting while focusing on Science and Cultural activities along with weekly topics. Miami Shores Montessori School's focus is to provide a variety of fun challenges for your child and because no two children are alike in personality and talent, they structure the activities geared to the child’s age. This way, they can develop and encourage your child’s individuality and natural curiosity to explore and learn.

Miami Shores Montessori School's Summer Camp theme this year is Festival of Nations. Every week, they will focus on a different continent and a specific country. They will explore flora and fauna that inhabit the area, traditional dress, music and sample different food. Kids will learn about Brazil in South America, Egypt in Africa, Italy in Europe, the United States in North America, Japan in Asia, Antarctica, and Australia.
Their summer camp activities includes:
- In-house field trips
- “Show and Tell”
- Science Hi-Lites Days
- Sports
- Cooking (Aprons will be provided for each of our chefs)
- Spanish
- Yoga
- Gardening
- Dance Day Fridays
- Water Activities
- End of Summer Big Pirate Party
Camp Hours
Hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Full Day or 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for Half Days. Care will be available before 9:00 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m. for students enrolled in the Extended Care Program.
