The Countdown is nearly over. People have been preparing for months but what to do when you and your family don't celebrate Christmas? We have rounded up a list of 5 fun things you can do on Christmas day:
1. Visit a Park. Unwind and relax admits the beauty of Oleta River State Park, Florida’s Largest Urban Park. This park is a haven for mountain bikers, paddlers, anglers, swimmers and for families out to enjoy a picnic along scenic Biscayne Bay.
2. Volunteer with your kids at the Lotus Village, Overtown’s state of the art shelter serving homeless moms and kids. Spend the morning with the Lotus House Family! From 10AM-2-PM, they will be:
- Distributing toys to all the kids
- Distributing gifts to all the women
- Decorating cookies
- Drinking hot chocolate!

3. Go to the Movie Theater. Mary Poppins Returns, Spider-Man,Transformers: Bumblebee…There is no shortage of new movies now playing in theaters. Get out of the house, sit in a nice, dark theater, sneak in some candies and have fun.
4. Plan a picnic lunch. We live in year-round picnic weather. So pack your favorite picnic lunch and get ready for a fresh air feast. If you are looking for picnic spots ideas, these parks features serene greenery, plenty of open space to play around and panoramic views:
